From the start of my career as an Oriental Dancer (a.k.a. Belly Dancer) in 1968, I have collected anything old pertaining to the dance from antique tribal jewelry, to prints, to whimsical items. I have always felt it was important to preserve the heritage of "belly dancers," as well as that of the Mediterranean, Indian, Central Asian, Gypsy, and Flamenco dancing. Even the theatrical dancers of the 1800's and early 1900's, as well as the club dancers of more recent times are an important part of the history of belly dancing, and their memorabilia is a treasure. In 1988, I started a small business selling these precious antiques. And now, on this site you can find everything from wearable ancient jewelry, to old tribal jewelry, gorgeous antique prints 100-200 years old, books, advertising, photos, and postcards of dancers to even Las Vegas ashtrays! Memorabilia of Mata Hari, Maud Allan, Ruth St. Denis, and Loie Fuller, are today very collectible and can be found on this site on occasion. Take a look; if you don't find it, just ask-I may have it! New items will be posted frequently.
